Did GMT or C3I ever print a new, more readable set of counters for Silver Bayonet? I took the game off the shelf last week ... opened it up .... and as soon as I squinted at the counters trying to read them I instantly remembered why it has been on the shelf for the past 10 years.

Bert is evil!

And I'm NOT evil. I'm just very persuasive.

Psst - Hawkeye... the easiest way to get past these guys is to show up bearing dark chocolate or any interesting WWII book. They'll be so distracted, you can slip right in.

Registration is open to anyone. (Well, except Hawkeye.)

Dammit! Banned again! I so need a better publicist ...

Kai is EVIL, but she can be defeated. And as to who she had to sleep with to get invited, I believe that would be her husband Chad :)

Sadly my budget can only afford one trip to GMT West each year and I hope to get down there again this spring. For any of you in the Pacific Northwest BottosCon is this November from November 6-8, 2009.

When is this weekend, Kai, and who do you have to sleep with to get invited?

OK, I guess that makes sense. As long as the unit has the movement points to leave the formation it's in, and enter the formation it want to go to, it seems logical that it should be able to do it. I was thinking that going from "Deliberate Assault…

You can make a single change to any formation, by paying the movement cost. I can know of no rule that states you must be in Movement to Contact, to make the change. David

The last rules issue we're debating is the "Formation Change" rule. The rules say that only one formation change per Game Turn is allowed. Scott interprets that to mean that a unit can go from Travel to Hasty Assault, for example, as a single form…

I had somebody do Wargames on me in the 'Short Scenario' [latewar/C3i]; so we ended up only playing turns 8&9!

Played a game if Vikings last night, and, although I won, it was a little unsatisfying. The complete, and nearly devastating, randomness of the cards almost undid me. Overall, it was an OK game, although there is some ambiguity in the movement rules…

Really haven't figured out Vassal but I am located in Sacramento CA. Once I get some help on it then I'm in for some gaming.

Anyone else have difficulty finding opponents available for online play (e.g., Vassal) during Pacific Time hours? I know I do. I though a group to help identify people who fit that profile might be useful to others.

What a coincidence, I'm also rereading Panzer Leader while I'm waiting for Glantzs newest book to arrive (its been shipped) part 2 of the Stalingrad trilogy..

DOWNTOWN is such, such a great game. Quite a puzzle for both sides. And I love how the scenarios show the progression of air vs air, air vs ground, and ground vs air technology over the years! ELUSIVE VICTORY looks so good as well!
