Unfortunately only 1 other guy showed up to play games yesteray so he and I played Monaco twice and Sebring tiwce. I won both Monaco races going away and we split the Sebring races. He crashed out on the first Sebring race and on the second one I blew it in the last corner by not making the turn and having to do an extreme downshift to avoid overshooting by too much and crashing out.

I still love Formula De/D wish we had more locals who could get into a championship series. I would love to challenge myself against a full field of 9 others and do the whole qualifying and 3 lap race thing over 16 races to see who is the best.

The extra "stuff" can and will be ignored by this person. Just give me the basic and advanced F1 game and I don't need the extra street rules. :)

More to it than that, check out Formula De at BoardgameGeek.com.

"D" is just a rerelease of "De" I think. I will know more tomorrow as I hope get race the wheels off of some locals.

The Fast and Furious type thing isnt too bad.. my son really likes it.. like who can go fastest through a speed trap etc etc... Ive only had it a month, and only played the basic set. You ever need to refinance yoru house, you can sell those maps LOL

Hmmm. Not big on the "Fast/Furious" stuff. We've played a few times with my game group, but only the basic rules. We've been thinking about trying out the De advanced rules.

Looking at the BGG listing, it looks like there are a lot more tracks than I have! I have the USA pack 1 with Indy, Portland, Elkhart Lake and Monterey. I also have the original of course with Monaco but I can't remember what's on the other side. I think I have at least one other pair too - I'll have to check when I get home. I bought as many as I could from the local hobby store at the time I bought the game, but they didn't have many extra tracks.

I dont have the old, but the new has 2 tracks, one basic formula de track and a night racing game that is more like the fast and the furious. I like the new version but wish it had more tracks. The older ones are supposed to be compatable but the prices are ridiculous

I have the "De" version and several tracks (don't remember exactly which right now). What's the difference, if any, between "De" and "D"?

Have you seen The Gamers' "Circus Minimus"? It's supposed to be a more accessible take on Circus Maximus. It was published by The Gamers, and Multiman is selling it off for $10 (ziplock bag):

I know what ya mean! Board gaming is not for those who are attention defecit :) I did like the fact it was completely different, and my son was very excited to play it. It plays similar to a chariot game we played once called Circus Maximus. Im looking forward to trying the advanced board on the back with the speed traps and all. I was also amazed at how much the expansion boards (from Formula De) were going for on ebay!

The game was finally started on Saturday. We're playing Scenario 2 of the original game, using the original rules, including all the optional rules listed in the rule book. We were both VERY rusty, so it took about 2 1/2 hours just to set up, sin...
