Miniature Games

Miniature Games are definitely a distinct genre. If you have trouble calling your playing surface a MAP and you are sticking a little man on that surface it belongs here.

I have a large collection of the 9mm Ros figures for Ancients,ECW,War or Austrian Succesion,7YW,ACW. I painted many of the ECW for 30YW armies.I also have ships for the American Revolution/Napoleonic era and WWI. Can't remember what brands but from a few companies.

I haven't played any of them in years but sure have a hankering to do a ECW battle. Heck,I have dozen's and dozen's of packs still to be painted in all era's. at least with 9 mm I don't hqave to sweat the small detail work(or even want too)

Here's some 2mm 'figures' I'm using for Worthington's Clash Of Continents & Hold the Line boardgames...replacing the unit counters with 2mm slugs...:) Looks better-well will-once painted. I'm about to launch into my 25mm French Revolution 25mm figures. Two armies: citizens vs the King's Army...pitch forks etc pics here: http://homepage.mac.com/ollor/wargaming/PhotoAlbum82.html

I'm the old coot in the background. The Great Northern War figures in front of me are some Bloodaxe Miniatures painted as Swedes . . . which I am currently using (after re-basing them) in our "Wars for Arcadian Glory" campaign (a fictional SYW campaign).

Re: Troop Quality - I've reversed my position on the issue of whether or not support units affect "troop quality". We are now also playing that any unit with a parenthesized defense strength does NOT factor in to the troop quality calculation. As ...

This is a cdg based on the game Twilight Struggle. It also has a battlecard system similar to We the People. It's a free game that you can download here: http://social.consimworld.com/profiles/blogs/final-1989-rules-cards-and-map

My guess is that 34R1 overrides the parent section 33L4. 34R1 states "A friendly naval unit may attempt to detect any enemy naval unit that is within its Surface (or Sub-Surface, for submarines) Detection Range. The player announces the detection ...
