The WBC set that Nick sent a link to is not a pretty map, but it does contain a copy of the combat tables on the map, so you don't have to open a copy of the tables in a separate application (or have a physical copy handy).

I could not find the combat tables in the other set. I think many sets leave that out since people are supposed to own a copy of the game (which I do).

VASSAL map is an exact replica much nicer than CB. Don't know how easy it is to change the VP spaces. If I have the time I will look into it....

i'd like to play on the official nice map too, but it is not easy to change VP spaces : too bad !

GMT offers both sets. Not sure why one would pick the other one.

Can you link to Thierry Aradan's CB file? Thanks
Nick Drochak Comment by Nick Drochak on November 4, 2009 at 8:44am
Tom, thanks. You are right. Thierry Aradan's CB file has a much nicer map. It isn't easy to change the VP spaces on it though (I dropped some extra markers on the space to remember). I'll try that and see how it goes.

The Cyberboard module I'd like to see is one where the map and setup matches up with the tuornament, particularly the 'changing' of the VP spaces!

Nick - there are actually several CB sets floating around. My preference is the "Thierron" (sic?) set as the map is much more pleasing on the eyes, i.e., it matches the real map and doesn't have just a set of boxes and lines on a white background.

Andy - simultaneous play of multiple games, once you get into it, is not really an issue. I find it takes more time to kick my kids off the computer, start CB, access ACTS, than it does to actually do your move. As far as expertise level - if you can hang in with Wargameroom play, ACTS play is a *snap*.

Unfortunately, had to pull out of the tourney when the penny finally dropped that I would be playing two simultaneous games. Time and the fact that I'm no expert (time mainly) meant a withdrawal. I will try to practice on wargameroom so I don't get slaughtered (again!) at WBC. Apologies to all affected but it was better to resign before it starts than realise half way through the tourney...........

To switch sides in the Vassal board you resign, and it gives you an option to change sides. It means you can only see one hand of cards at a time. I find VASSAL more user friendly than cyberboard but I guess its all what your used to.

OK, I found the Cyberboard files posted on the CSW formus. Here's a link to the file if anyone else needs it.

No they're not, not Super Bowl winners. Some members of the defense need a major attitude adjustment too, especially about standards and excuses.

They are really a not very good team this year.

The Steelers used an onside kick today, and almost snatched defeat from the jaws of mediocrity too. It's a big reason why Roethlisberger could throw for 500 yards and still need the last play of the game to win, by one point.

Hold the line by Worthington games. A GREAT simple revolutionary war game, similar to Command and Colors, but uses Action Points instead of cards. You can move any unit you want with your points. (Similar to Conflict of heroes)
