I made t to Pacificon on Friday, Saturday and until 2:00 on Sunday. The flea market offered quite a variety of goods and the bizar on Sunday was a good idea as well. I played in a couple of great miniatures games: Nick Stern's Gunga Din game on Saturday morning and Clif Castle's Commands and Colors Napoleonic game on Friday afternoon. Much thanks to Mike O'Brien and everyone else involved in the Con. It's still my favorite venue for a Con.

"One out of three" - that's as balanced as you can hope to get playing three games. :0)

Now for the most important question - did you have fun?

I played in the Combat Commander tournament. I won my first game, by holding onto the initiative card. I lost my second game by a substantial margin. I don't remember the scenario but it involves
British Guards escaping past German Paratroopers on Crete. Out of three tournament games, only one had the Germans winning.

I played in the AT43, science fiction miniatures game, tournament and tied on one game and lost, again substantially, on the other.

I ran the "Free Market" on Saturday and Sunday. 30 tables each night. I managed to pick up some games and a few cool books including a pair on the Tiger I and three volumes on the T-34.

I also helped out at the auction, which had Alan Emerich as a guest auctioneer. Lots of fun and some great stuff to be had.

Kai,
Gm'd a Napoleonic miniatures game or two - bought FOW's new North Afirka book and some Quar. Too busy with my games to get a chance to check anything out. Now that this is over I'll be back at Endgame on Sundays. Decent crowd considering, met a few people in the flesh for the first time too.

Well? How was it? What did you play? What did you buy? :0)

Going to miss seeing the two of you at Pacificon. Looking forward to GMT West myself. I see that Chad's latest game made the cut for GMT.

I can't make it to Pacificon this year. My next game outing will be GMT West in October. Somebody play something for me, will ya?

Dave,
I'll be running 2 - 40mm Napoleonic skirmish games on Sunday. 11am and 4 pm if I remember right. "Sharp's Practice" rules. Stop by and say hi.

Hi Mike and All,
I'll be at Pacificon all weekend. I'm looking forward to playing some C&C Napoleon (Thanks for running the game, Clif) on Friday afternoon. I mostly plan to get in some miniatures games on Saturday (as well as the flea market), but Sunday is still open. If you see me, introduce yourself; maybe we can grab a coffee.

No they're not, not Super Bowl winners. Some members of the defense need a major attitude adjustment too, especially about standards and excuses.

They are really a not very good team this year.

The Steelers used an onside kick today, and almost snatched defeat from the jaws of mediocrity too. It's a big reason why Roethlisberger could throw for 500 yards and still need the last play of the game to win, by one point.

Hold the line by Worthington games. A GREAT simple revolutionary war game, similar to Command and Colors, but uses Action Points instead of cards. You can move any unit you want with your points. (Similar to Conflict of heroes)
