WBC Sand Plaquers

A celebration of finishing 6th.

A celebration of finishing 6th and obtaining the rarest of rare; a WBC sand plaque. Each year, only a few events at WBC are "6" rated (ex: Paths of Glory, Victory in the Pacific, etc) - and that's the only events that award these gems. Approximately 100 sand plaques have been awarded in the course of human history.

In 2010, we'll try to hold our first sand plaque party at WBC; probably a reception for the WBC Legionaires (attendees of all DonCons). Details to follow.

All hail Mr.Heinzmann, class of 2003 (and a PoGer') and Mr.Dunning, class of 2009. Two more fezes on order. Oh, we are going to have one great Sand Plaquer reception at WBC 2010. Remember to wear your Hawiian shirts and bring your sand for the beach party.

Got an email from Mr.Greenwood. He'll will be reviewing the membership rolls and get back to us in awhile. We have plenty of time before our first meeting 2010.

And then there were six: Welcome aboard, Kevin Wojtaszczyk, Class of 2000.

Good point regarding the fez color. Checking my 2009 WBC Program....Here I Stand was 6th rated...you got 6th? You are a proud member of the Sand Plaquers, Class of 2009. Welcome aboard Mr.Rogers. Perhaps you could upload a picture with you proudly displaying the plaque.

You raise an interesting point. Mr.Dolan wants in to our club. However, sadly, he has not earned the right. He did indicate that he would bring a GM scoring sheet from Elchfest to our first meeting that would show he finished 6th. I told him we could probably form the "Sand Plaque Militia" - those who can prove they finished 6th in a non-6 rated event. We use them as guards, gophers and groupies.

Can I join? I'm not on the lists, but I took sixth in Here I Stand this year (2009) and have the plaque to prove it! Oh, and I have Hawiian shirts. But I think beige fezes might be more appropriate.

...yeah, and the cars, would be the just the right touch. Maybe small black Amish horse carts would be more appropriate.

No they're not, not Super Bowl winners. Some members of the defense need a major attitude adjustment too, especially about standards and excuses.

They are really a not very good team this year.

The Steelers used an onside kick today, and almost snatched defeat from the jaws of mediocrity too. It's a big reason why Roethlisberger could throw for 500 yards and still need the last play of the game to win, by one point.

Hold the line by Worthington games. A GREAT simple revolutionary war game, similar to Command and Colors, but uses Action Points instead of cards. You can move any unit you want with your points. (Similar to Conflict of heroes)
