Old AH gamer from the early '70's. Jutland, Anzio, PanzerBlitz, Third Reich...
Your favorite game(s):
I like most of the block games I've ever played, and am still fond of the Europa series. Also a recent semi-convert to good Euros. Otherwise, I'm a wargaming generalist who likes to try just about anything once (but who can't stand poorly developed games).
What game(s) are you currently playing (solitaire, FTF, PBEM, etc.) or wish to play next?
Block games, 18XX, heavy Euros, shorter (well-developed) wargames
What game(s) have you played recently?
Really getting into the 18XX train games lately (last 6-8 months or so), finding them to be excellent economic games that reward good planning (and punish bad planning). Sort of an economic Diplomacy, wherein the actions of the players at the table wholly determine how the game progresses. No randomizing elements, other than the players...
How big is your game collection?
1000+
Your local game club(s) and/or where you reside (let's network!)
Well, at a larger scope, I do have two hanging on the wall of my game room. One is for the Union armies and one for the Confederate armies.

I don't have the one for US divisions in WW2--that looks…
Indeed it is! In my last house, the bathroom nearest the game room was upstairs, and in the master "suite." Stupid, stupid layout. We shopped for this kind of place here for a long time until we found what we want. The other two floors are nice, too…
Chris -- What version of Mem'44 for the tournie? Basic game I assume? Will you publish the scenario in advance or will it be random? Finally, I assume each player needs to bring a copy?
About the only time that I would have for games is on a Saturday and even that is usually up in the air. You see I work at KCI on the overnight shift Sunday thru Thursday ergo I sleep most of the day Monday thru Friday. Since I don't have to go to work Friday night I help with the laundry. On Saturday morning I spend time with the wife by taking here out for breakfast and then we do our shopping for the week. Come Sunday I usually lay down for a nap around 2:00 or 3:00 so that I will be prepared tostay up all night Sunday and the cycle starts again.
Nice job with the promo for Barracks Battles. Thanks for posting it...hope we get to those who we haven't contacted as yet. Yep, anyway we can get us all together is a GOOD thang.
You have to be an absolute piece of crap, with no respect for history or decency, to pull off this crime:

Here's a really good reason why the NFL should be concerned about brain trauma.

The Steelers used an onside kick today, and almost snatched defeat from the jaws of mediocrity too. It's a big reason why Roethlisberger could throw for 500 yards and still need the last play of the game to win, by one point.
Hold the line by Worthington games. A GREAT simple revolutionary war game, similar to Command and Colors, but uses Action Points instead of cards. You can move any unit you want with your points. (Similar to Conflict of heroes)
