Excellent! I'll have to try that at work with my next Powerpoint(tm) presentation.

There have been published games with hex-shaped counters. What I would prefer to see are larger hexes. The current half-inch counter and half-inch plus one micron wide hexes is just silly. Then people spend oodles of time cutting the corners off the…

Eric Walters just started a thread (http://social.consimworld.com/profiles/blogs/remakes-worth-it-or-not) that I personally think will generate a lot of activity. Let's see if I'm wrong.

I've been awaiting L2 Design Group's announced redo of Panzergruppe Guderian since 2004. The game is just a lot of fun, and it's simple. Something my aging rules-addled mind appreciates. Alas it looks like it's one of the last things they're interes…

Thanks! Starship Trooper remains my favorite Yes tune of them all, with lots of high school memories. There are some lost high school memories too, as it was the seventies, associated with that song.

So, what are you giving away? I couldn't find the photo but would be interested in finding out what other goodies you are getting rid of.

No problem Chris, actually if you can find 1 or 2 opponents you can eventually get through a 39 campaign. The nice thing about the computer is that you can whip through (even solo) turns rather quickly since the computer implements the rules leaving you to concentrate on strategy and tactics. I think you'll be surprised how far you can get solo. With PBEM you just wait on your opponents moves.

Chris - thanks for sharing the Corregidor map - and I assume that the picture is from there, as well? Wow!

You're welcome Steve. I have two copies likely sitting in a flower bed getting watered on daily until I can get back home. The delivery guys always seem to find the wet spots to set them down. ;)

Ah, gotcha. I haven't been to a convention in a long time. I think it was the year Code of Bushido came out! But as time goes by, I hope to have more free time. Even to travel.

You have to be an absolute piece of crap, with no respect for history or decency, to pull off this crime: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8423827.stm My only joy is that the five semi-humans who committed the crime were caught, along with what t…

No they're not, not Super Bowl winners. Some members of the defense need a major attitude adjustment too, especially about standards and excuses.

They are really a not very good team this year.

The Steelers used an onside kick today, and almost snatched defeat from the jaws of mediocrity too. It's a big reason why Roethlisberger could throw for 500 yards and still need the last play of the game to win, by one point.

Hold the line by Worthington games. A GREAT simple revolutionary war game, similar to Command and Colors, but uses Action Points instead of cards. You can move any unit you want with your points. (Similar to Conflict of heroes)
