I think I can relate to that very well. I buy but I don't play much.
Yes, I have. Strangely enough, I picked up a pristine copy of 'Land Power' at a second hand shop some years back. It was wonderful!
And it had John Batchelor illustrating!

Read "Pebble in the Sky" by Isaac Asimov. SciFi. My favorite book to read every few years. Always a great read.

My mom's reading that one now. I might read it a little down the road - Dan Brown can be good escapist fun for a couple of days.
On the "to read" list are a big pile of Ospreys, Chandler's The Campaigns of Napoleon, Pride and Prejudice and Zombie...
The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown.....not a complete waste of time, but close. Liked Di Vinci Code and Angels & Demons better. But essentially, all 3 are the same book.

- I am a relatively latecomer to this lobby. I started 'wargaming' in the late seventies with the Usborne Battle Books. I remembered re-fighting the Battle of Arsuf over and over again with my little sister. Later, I found SPI's 'Napoleon' in 1982 and Squad Leader in 1983-4. I played Avalon Hill's 'Alexander the Great' and a couple of others from 1985. Afterwards, I was lost in the RPG wilderness and collectible card hell for years. I eventually returned to wargaming in the mid-nineties. These days, I am just not very active.

- Nothing. I haven't played in a year or two.

No I have never played AH Russian Front. This is a fourth version of AH's Russian Campaign.
Are there any replay articles available on line about AH's Russian Front?
You may know this already but Schwerpunkt's , the title, is a computor game about the entire Russian campaige of WW2. It does use hexes but I hope you have a large screen.
