ED: Been a while since I last checked in to CSW and just saw your question. Since I have two sets of CoB perhaps I can try to answer. CoB came with Chapter G rules sections 1-10 (Animal Packs). Rules sections 11 - 18 came with GH. The original page…

Shane - gonna have to disappoint you. You will need both CoB and GH, plus FKaK or WoA, and Yanks to play most of the scenz. To play them all you will also need Doomed Battalions and Armies of Oblivion, Croix de Guerre, and Partisan. A vast majority…

Joe - the original plan for Blood and Jungle was to have it ready for release at ASLOK. AFAIK that is still Chas' plan. Only 1 or 2 scenarios left getting their final tweeks Counters are almost complete and being pre-proofed even now. Some of the ar…

Scenario - "Battlegroup Nor-Mons" This is one of the meatier scenarios from the BtB pack. It pits an average British mixed force against a force of German SS with good armor support and two modules of OBA. I played the Germans, Doug played the Brits…

Would there be any interest in this group in reading some AAR's on BFP scenarios? Not super detailed as in move by move, but just a general overview of each turn, any major events, key points in the game...that sort of thing. If so we can begin to d…

Curious Brian...for the US MMC counters, did you plan on using the normal 6-6-6 1st line, or add in a mix of 6-6-6 and 6-6-7's? Having read the book last year, "Just Americans" which deals with the 100th and the 442 RCT, I found it interesting that…

Profile Information

Your introduction to consim gaming:
Attended several ConsimWorld Expos since 1999. Sought a venue to play some of the games I seldom got to play due to size and space limits and lack of opponents.
Your favorite game(s):
ASL, MBT, Siege of Jerusalem, Flight Leader, Guadacanal, Breakout Normandy, PB, PL, Advanced Third Reich, Catan, Gettysburg, others.
What game(s) are you currently playing (solitaire, FTF, PBEM, etc.) or wish to play next?
ASL
What game(s) have you played recently?
Played a solo game of Breakout Normandy recently. Got my butt whipped as the Allies. Those Flak units were a lot tougher on the defense than I hoped. They stood up time and again to whatever I could throw at them...and the German armor kept pluggin the holes I was able to create. Never did achieve a "breakout" from Omaha Beach, and that sealed my fate.
In general, how much time do you spend gaming?
10-15 hours weekly.
How big is your game collection?
Enough to keep me busy for a long time.
Your local game club(s) and/or where you reside (let's network!)
Arizona, Phoenix area
About Me
I want to find someone to teach me how to play the boardgame "Achtung-Spitfire" by Clash of Arms Games. Counters are great, scenarios look fun, but I'm challenged on understanding the flight rules...of course I have that same problem with most "flight" games. Left-right-forward-back I comprehend. Add in UP-DOWN and I get lost. Any tutors out there?
Personal Interests (favorite activities, movies, shows, books, music, etc.)
Almost any history book or magazine, especially if it is about WWII. Reading about history is what got me interested in gaming about history.

You have to be an absolute piece of crap, with no respect for history or decency, to pull off this crime: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8423827.stm My only joy is that the five semi-humans who committed the crime were caught, along with what t…

Here's a really good reason why the NFL should be concerned about brain trauma. http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/09291/1006418-66.stm He's still listed as one of the outstanding graduates of my old school, Shady Side Academy, but he's not quite the…

No they're not, not Super Bowl winners. Some members of the defense need a major attitude adjustment too, especially about standards and excuses.

They are really a not very good team this year.

The Steelers used an onside kick today, and almost snatched defeat from the jaws of mediocrity too. It's a big reason why Roethlisberger could throw for 500 yards and still need the last play of the game to win, by one point.

Hold the line by Worthington games. A GREAT simple revolutionary war game, similar to Command and Colors, but uses Action Points instead of cards. You can move any unit you want with your points. (Similar to Conflict of heroes)
