Thanks, I think I've figured a way for the Germans to move a little faster. I'd like to go to WBC and watch the pro's play this. Hope all is well at your end of the world.
Bill Ramsay and I played GDW's 1941, I rolled so bad I quit on turn four. I was the German's and there were still Russian holding border hexes. Every time the odds were three to one I rolled a one. This game never fails to get a laugh at our group...
Youch! I remember having a game go like this--the German always got the worst die rolls possible each and every time. Just makes you want to throw in the towel and start over!
I'm a out of work member of the Allan Rothberg gang out on sunny Long Island. I've been playing wargames, well it seems forever. From P.I.G.s to Avalon Hill to the games of today. My first wargame was MB's 1863 I bought at a odds and ends store in Selden, New York. Then AH's Blitzkreig which I bought from a freind who had no idea what it was..

About Me
Mildly insane 55 year old male who lives on Long Island. Long time gamer, though not one of those gotta win guys. I like to play for the joy of playing. Ask any of my Pax Romana game mates! I've worked in the retail and distribution side of the music industry since 1971. And what a long strange trip that has been.
Personal Interests (favorite activities, movies, shows, books, music, etc.)
I'm into Sci Fi and History, espescialy naval history from 1880 to 1920 or so. My movie and music tastes are all over the place, but centered on Sci Fi and History.
I used to be a Civil War (ACW) buff, but not so much these days.
Just an FYI - In another life, I was a math instructor, checked out on everything from basic to advanced Calc, plus Stats. (If you want differential equations I might have to break open a book.) Plus I've tutored three bosses and one neice and one ex- almost son-in-law through the tough stuff, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Happy to be an additional resource!
Darn! Wish I'd caught this when you left it! Yes, I was! And specifically, I was hoping to catch you. I had some weeks on the Island, and was hoping we could get together to game. Left you message on the LI Yahoo group.
I did play a few turns of Glory III with Anthony Friday....
Hi. Can i ask a dumb question? I have been thinking of using miniatures instead of the cardboard counters for AH's JUTLAND. Would you happen to know what scale ships would be compatable?
Thanks for the heads up on the convention. It does look like I will be either in Rochester or Buffalo or Erie the weeks on either side of it, so I might give it a go!
John - thanks for the chance to test drive the L2 version of TRC today. I enjoyed it - but it seems unfair that we quit just when you'd get the chance to 'strike back.' Really unfair- so I owe you one. Hope we don't wait so long in between rounds!

I've been awaiting L2 Design Group's announced redo of Panzergruppe Guderian since 2004. The game is just a lot of fun, and it's simple. Something my aging rules-addled mind appreciates. Alas it looks like it's one of the last things they're inter...
