I don't see any advantage to hex-shaped counters and a lot of disadvantages. The only problem with square counters is when the hexes are too small.

A lot of these are production issues - not design or development. In terms of design, the primary thing missing from operational games is realistic supply constraints - that's why I can't bring myself to play anything other than OCS now. That doesn'…

Imperium is a good example of how not to remake a game. Many games suffer from poor development. That is a good reason to do a remake.

I'm just going to go through the war chronologically, analyze each battle, and develop rules for each scenario as they come up. The first is the Exocet attack on the Sheffield. Analysis: Over open water the British search radars and rwrs worked v…

I was going to start with scenarios replicating the historical actions - and then try to come up with some realistic campaign parameters.

Well, the Harpoon Falklands War supplement is far from perfect :-) I have quite a bit of information on Argentine operations including operational bases and numbers and weapon loads for most attacks.

John,
First, thanks for buying the hexsheet.

What you could do is cut and paste it into an editing program, I generated the product with CorelDraw, and then manually trim away the border with the crop function. That should also take care of the text in the bottom left corner. Doing the same thing again can trim the outside borders of the hex field itself if you need to make the sheets match up precisely.

The last stage would be to save it in a format compatible with Vassal, or export it as a pdf. For latter, if your software doesn't have pdf support, you can get Cute PDF (www.cutepdf.com). I've been using the free version for years, and indeed that is how the sheet was created in the first place.

I hope this helps.
