I can't even remember the other titles I've read, though I checked. I tried his "Heechee" series but did not like it.

"Time Travelers Never Die" by Jack McDevitt. SciFi. OK but not up to his previous books I've read. "The Arms Maker of Berlin" by Dan Fesperman. Novel on the' White Rose Movement' of Nazi Germany. Sins of the past coming back to haunt the present. Ve…

Your right. I only check this site, maybe, once a week now. I enjoyed the political discussions and would check in, at least, once a day.

Read: "The Lost Kingdom of Burgundy" by Christopher Cope. Very Good. A history of the Burgundian(today) area of France attempt to become a independent State. Too bad they failed. Author's opinion and I agree. "God's Battalions: The Case for the Cru…

Your introduction to consim gaming:
Not much into forums but CSW's Monstercon is the "Cat's Meow" of wargaming. I haven't missed one yet(knock on wood). So, I'll give this a try.I have been playing wargames since I was 15. I'm 60 now. My favorite Historical Periods are Ancient and Medieval but do play all eras of History. I live in Joliet, Ill.
Your favorite game(s):
My favorite games come and go as new games come out but my favorite system is GMT'S Great Battles of History. I wish they would apply it to the Middle Ages. I always buy two copies from this system as they come out. I need backups.
In general, how much time do you spend gaming?
20 hrs per week
How big is your game collection?
400+
About Me
I started board gaming around age 15/16 with AH's Tactics II that my father bought me for xmas. I've been hooked ever since. My father was a lifer in the Air Force so I moved around somewhat. I grew up in three main places; Texas(home state), Florida, and Japan. Left home at 18 and joined the Army. Did a tour in 'Nam and got out in '69. Married 4 years later to spunky little woman from Thailand. I have 2 kids, a son and daughter, both grown up with college degrees. I'm the only one in my family who missed out on college(1.5 yrs). Wife has a degree too, in education. Worked at a chemical company for 39 yrs. and just retired. Now I can try to catch up on my reading and gaming.
Personal Interests (favorite activities, movies, shows, books, music, etc.)
Reading, traveling( been all over Asia and Europe), Rock and Roll music and of course, wargaming. Favorite book of all time: "Pebble in the sky" by Issac Asimov; favorite movie of all time: "No Highway in the Sky" with James Stewart; & favorite song of all time: "Gimme Shelter" by the Rolling Stones.

Muslim Mob Shows who is boss in Germany

The interview:

"1:16 AM Received from Muqata Blog Reader in Germany, Sebastian M."

"Today, 10.000 people demonstrated against Israel here in my hometown Duisburg (Germany) and to express their solidarity with Hamas. So, my girlfriend and me put two Israel flags out of the windows of our flat in the 3rd floor. During the demonstration which went through our street the police broke into our flat and removed the flag of Israel. The statement of the police was to de-escalate the situation, because… Continue

Ah yes I saw the 12 sided combat table when I was part of the Richmond Monster Gamers. They used it in WitE. Do you have a copy you can email or post?

Hey Joseph I saw your comments about perfering WIE and Europa, have you taken a look at the optional rules set I have for War in the East/ WIE to allow combat during the movement phase?

I triple the Russian production and do away with the AEX out of supply attack loss. I've testing it with two complete games of WitE first edition and it seems to work really well and does away with the quick step defense and a 3-5 stopping a panzer corps or Russian Armor stack is a thing of the past.

No they're not, not Super Bowl winners. Some members of the defense need a major attitude adjustment too, especially about standards and excuses.

The Steelers used an onside kick today, and almost snatched defeat from the jaws of mediocrity too. It's a big reason why Roethlisberger could throw for 500 yards and still need the last play of the game to win, by one point.

Hold the line by Worthington games. A GREAT simple revolutionary war game, similar to Command and Colors, but uses Action Points instead of cards. You can move any unit you want with your points. (Similar to Conflict of heroes)
