FWIW I don't miss griping over politics, it added nothing to this site.

I enjoyed the political discussions too, including exchanges with people with whom I disagreed. It was only the obvious trolls and Holocaust deniers whom I could do without, and as it turned out they were among the biggest whiners and complainers ...

Your right. I only check this site, maybe, once a week now. I enjoyed the political discussions and would check in, at least, once a day.

I'm sure online sites, forums, etc. will have their lulls now and then. Given the holidays, the timing seems about right. Perhaps folk will comment about what they are playing over the holidays?

like I said - look for some stuff this weekend from the Triangle area. We got some Warfighter gaming on Friday and another linkup on Saturday. If Scott takes/sends photos from Saturday, I'll upload 'em, plus I'll get stuff up on Friday. :)

Profile Information

Your introduction to consim gaming:
Hmmm - I can't recall how I stumbled across it. Maybe Pieter de Wilde? Now Consim Social World was our friend Jon Compton who alerted me to its existence. All I know is I tend to visit it nearly every single day when I'm not TDY for the Army.
Your favorite game(s):
TRC?
What game(s) are you currently playing (solitaire, FTF, PBEM, etc.) or wish to play next?
Ici, c'est la France! The Algerian War of Independence 1954-62 is now on the table. In many reviews I kevetch about counters that are difficult to remove, or get ripped no matter how careful you are in their removal. The counters for AWI were the easiest ever in all my years of playing to remove and separate. It was like a Johnson’s baby shampoo moment for there were no tears.
What game(s) have you played recently?
Soon to come:

Santiago Campaign
USAAF
RAF
Frontline General: Italian Campaign Introduction
Pursuit of Von Spee
DropShot
Asia Engulfed
Ranger
Guadacanal (Axis and Allies)
Bulge 20
Crisis 2020

Finished Recently
Honey Springs
Zulu on the Ramparts
First Battle of Britain
In general, how much time do you spend gaming?
Too little....
How big is your game collection?
125-140
About Me
Tread Head - now LESS hard of hearing. I love my hearing aid!
Personal Interests (favorite activities, movies, shows, books, music, etc.)
We are in a Blue Oyster Cult phase thanks to Jim. We saw them twice in as many days - Thursday at the Rams Head in Annapolis (a great bar by the way) and Friday again at the Chameleon Club. Guess who caught the guitar pic from the BOC lead singer, Buck Dharma.

Yeah, yeah... at least my Mom is happy about that - she's been a die-hard Raider fan for FOREVER! I got a call from my Dad after their win last week to tell me Mom was celebrating. :0)

So... what are you saying? You found my blog on CSW? Come on in! We're a (mostly) friendly bunch. :0)

And SF is stuck with the game they know (running) even though they don't have the personnel for it. If they switched over to the less-known (passing) game, they stand a chance at actually getting WORSE until they find their rhythm. Personally, I would advocate making the change and taking their chances. They are out of the Big Game for this year, so I think they should make the switch and build some confidence in what they are doing right - passing. But Jimmy Raye and Mike Singletary don't actually listen to me... so I'll just be watching in agony as game after game slip through their grasp.

I see that you enjoy the quality of the Ici counters:

Well, I am on Vista and I need to change the properties of the shortcut to "XP" compatible.
I am not too worried, PZ was a great game when it came out and I liked it a lot, yet right now I am in Holland trying to capture bridges in order to invade the Rhur bassin and the Gerrrrmans are not too cooperatives about helping me build a HIGHWAY TO THE REICH. So PG might be on the back burner for a while.
BTW, I like your picture on your page, called "Dinner". That simulates a realistic situation!
Thank you for the interest
Sincerely,
GHWY

Smith's shoulder seems fine and his arm was definitely fine on Sunday. He seems to have a solid connection with Crabtree, so I'm interested to see where this will get us this season.

Hi Nick, Yes the game is all done. The map is 22" x 34". The cards print on letter size paper. If you use ArtsCow they usually have deals so you can order all three decks for $7 a piece. Just use the link in the original post. When you fill in th...
