Hold the line by Worthington games. A GREAT simple revolutionary war game, similar to Command and Colors, but uses Action Points instead of cards. You can move any unit you want with your points. (Similar to Conflict of heroes)

Mike, what are you basing your assessment of the Afghan troops on?

Can anyone speak knowingly as to the differences between editions? I'm in the market for a copy but I'm wondering what edition is worth getting. Thanks, Hawkeye

I got it partially punched on eBay and about 12 hours later my copy of GWAS Jutland sold for the same price on BGG so it must have been my destiny to have it! Anyway ... getting around to playing it will be a whole other kind of kismet ...

This will be a forum for the upcoming game of the French war in Algeria during the fifties (Khyber Pass Games). It will be one of few wargames dealing with the modern warfare dilemma: Unless you win the population you will not win at all.

Miniature Games are definitely a distinct genre. If you have trouble calling your playing surface a MAP and you are sticking a little man on that surface it belongs here.

Not much. Hoping to get back into it.

Just a shadow of it's former self ...
About Me

As I'm sure that you know, I'm trying to depict insurgency warfare in a game system. If you wish, you can download the rules at Legion Wargames. I would also value your input in the discussion groups: World of designing and Ici, c'est la france!

Any recommendations for a December/holiday wargaming linkup date? I'll be out of town for parts of the holidays, but I could easily manage Sunday 12/20.

I think this coud be the place for looking for PBEM opponents. Just start a discussion for the game you would like to play PBEM, or consult an already existing discussion if there is already one concerning the game you want to play
