Hi Paul, yes, the kids in the photos are the players. (Some are better than some of the adults I might add!). Some of my photos have the game's story posted with them. You can see the game sessions on Boardgamegeek.com if you look at The Games of War. Look undergames played and you can read the stories to get an idea how the various games work. I hope that helps!

Hi Paul,
The figures aren't made any more but they do make 6mm inidividual figures mounted on stands. The rules are from my book, The Games of War: A Treasury of Rules for Battle with Toy Soldiers, Ships, and Planes. My book has 39 sets of rules and the one I used for this battle was La Gloire de Guerre on pages 78-81. While written for individual HO and 54mm figures, I used one stand as one figure (1 battalion). 6 figures make the average brigade.

No they're not, not Super Bowl winners. Some members of the defense need a major attitude adjustment too, especially about standards and excuses.

They are really a not very good team this year.

The Steelers used an onside kick today, and almost snatched defeat from the jaws of mediocrity too. It's a big reason why Roethlisberger could throw for 500 yards and still need the last play of the game to win, by one point.

Hold the line by Worthington games. A GREAT simple revolutionary war game, similar to Command and Colors, but uses Action Points instead of cards. You can move any unit you want with your points. (Similar to Conflict of heroes)
