Good question. How many members are on CSW? That might be a baseline number to start with. hmm...do you mean only board wargamers? or are miniature gamers included? and of course gamers being gamers any figure will be disputed...:-)

My whish is to have the poltics posts removed. I logged on and first thing I see is some huge bloger diatribe on politics. I was really up on this SOCIAL system till these fanatics decided to make it a pulpit for their poltical rantings

Whether you care or not is immaterial to the impact that fresh dollars and young minds entering the hobby is going to make on it. It's ironic that you complain about "old wargamers" being disconnected and out of touch, and then you proclaim yourself…

About Me
My Name Wittmann, no I am not making that up. 2 N's always. Ive been gaming something since age 10. I started with Airfix and Marx in my sandbox with close to coin flip "rules" Seventh grade brought me to a Military Academy and there I was brought back to the Sand with a table and Dunn-Kempf. The Army showed me all sorts of sand and clay as well some gaming and MILES. Upon my return home from my Military service I ran into a chance encounter with a fellow Tanker and wargamer and my gaming has continued since. I have also started a Gaming Hobby business and am looking for investors for other gaming related ventures. Its not a hobby for me and my group its a lifestyle and an obsession. The path of life coupled with the economic situation has put me in a holding pattern employment wise. So right now I have all to much time to devote to gaming and historical research. Optimism and determination is driving me to explore my gaming ventures. So if anybody has a fat ball of cash to chuck at gaming related business, I got catchers glove ready.(to dream the impossible dream). Beyond gaming I am just out pounding..yet more sand. Looking for a break in the economic clouds. Beware I also fully spell check dependent.
Personal Interests (favorite activities, movies, shows, books, music, etc.)
I am a ravenous book worm on Military History subjects. I enjoy the occasional Classic War film like Bridge to Far and Longest Day. My favorite due to the mix of humor is "Kelly's Heroes" All activites I do revolve around gaming My wife wont wargame but does enjoy a RTS and FPS PC gaming.
I listen to such a large variety of music it could be a page in itself. My websites are construction zones right now. When they are clean Ill post them.

Command and Control in CDG

The aspect of the cards is where it differs from most miniatures rules: you must play the correct "maneuver" card to perform any maneuver, and they are randomly drawn. That seems to be a fundamental design trope for card based games in "battle" scale, but with miniatures rules usually the player has free choice of maneuver, since he is the "general," and other rules mechanisms act to make it difficult for him to successfully accomplish the desired maneuver. So that is the part of the game play t… Continue

I'll definitely bring my copy. If you have not already done so, it would really help if you read through the Components, Core Rules and Order sections, and rule A33 for Opportunity Fire before we played. The most current rules v1.1 can be downloaded off of GMT's website.

The gray boxes are your friends...and remember, never infer or imagine anything more than what is written.

I should be there on the 28th. I have CC:E (and CC:P ordered and it has just shipped) and would be happy to bring it along.

I see you went to SJMA - two of my boys attended there, of course by then it was SJNMA.

By the way, Happy Birthday!!!

No they're not, not Super Bowl winners. Some members of the defense need a major attitude adjustment too, especially about standards and excuses.

They are really a not very good team this year.

The Steelers used an onside kick today, and almost snatched defeat from the jaws of mediocrity too. It's a big reason why Roethlisberger could throw for 500 yards and still need the last play of the game to win, by one point.

Hold the line by Worthington games. A GREAT simple revolutionary war game, similar to Command and Colors, but uses Action Points instead of cards. You can move any unit you want with your points. (Similar to Conflict of heroes)
